It exhibits good solubility in DMSO (50 mg/mL) but limited water solubility (~0.5 mg/mL). Stability studies recommend storage at -20 C protected from light, with chemical degradation below 5% over 12 months under these conditions. Safety protocols require using chemical-resistant gloves and working in chemical fume hoods due to its potential respiratory sensitization. In case of inhalation, move to fresh air and administer oxygen if needed. APPLICATIONS: SP141 has transformed research in protein homeostasis by selectively inhibiting HSP70 with IC50 of 14 nM (published in Nature Chemical Biology, 2019). In oncology applications, SP141 induces proteotoxic stress in cancer cells, selectively targeting tumors with high protein synthesis rates (as reported in Cancer Research, 2020). Its ability to sensitize cancer stem cells to chemotherapy has been documented in Stem Cells (2021), where SP141 pretreatment increased cisplatin efficacy by 3.2-fold in sphere-forming assays.
